Rock Trees

It was a dream that inspired the “Rock Trees” series.  After a day at the beach abound with ocean-sculpted stones, I dreamed that instead of leaves, the trees were blooming with rocks….hence “Rock Trees”.  I made little models of the trees with sticks and pea stones and then blew them up bigger and bigger until their origin was hardly identifiable.  These pieces were printed on various papers and fabrics, using a jumbo press and large inked vinyl material cutouts.  All monoprints, some are layered and others just stand alone.
